SAS Nagar (Mohali), 10 January
The BJP government at the center is running away from enacting the MSP guarantee law on crops to farmers. Although the wheat crop was taken from Punjab last year at Rs 2300 per quintal, but today flour is being sold at Rs 40 per kg, from which it can be estimated how much the farmer is being robbed. Shiromani Akali Dal, constituency in-charge of Mohali Parvinder Singh Sohana made this statement while talking to reporters. Not only this, the Flour Mill Association is also saying that flour mills are closing down due to lack of wheat, but the Center is keeping silent. Parvinder Singh Sohana strongly condemned the central government and appealed to accept all the legitimate demands of the farmers immediately. He said that financial assistance should be provided to farmers for seeds, fertilizers and irrigation.
