A meeting was held here today by the leaders of Builders Association and Aam Aadmi Ghar Bachao Morche. Speaking on this occasion, Om Prakash Thind, President of Builder and Property Dealer Association SAS Nagar, said that 12 EOs of Kharar Municipal Committee have been changed in the last three and a half years. He said that as long as the officers understand the streets of Kharar city, the EO is transferred in a long time due to which the development work of the city has stopped. Addressing this meeting, Harminder Singh Mavi, convener of Aam Aadmi Ghar Bachao Morche, said that due to the change in EO, the files applied by people for getting the map passed have been flowing for the last eight months. He said that the file has to be applied three times to get each map passed. The entire process takes eight to nine months to complete, with at least three EOs being replaced. It takes at least a week to create an ID when a new EO arrives. The leaders present on this occasion demanded from the government that the EO of Kharar Municipal Committee should not be changed for at least two years.
