Patiala: A shopkeeper in Patiala consumed poisonous medicine in the corporation office on Tuesday, accusing the corporation employees and political leaders of harassing him for no reason.
The shopkeeper, identified as Suraj Bhatia, owns a mattress shop near Anardana Chowk. He stood outside the corporation office before taking the medicine and went live on social media. In the video, he accused the corporation employees of harassing him and demanding bribes. He also accused the political leaders of being involved in the harassment.
Bhatia was rushed to the hospital by the corporation employees. He is currently undergoing treatment and is in a stable condition. The police have also started investigating the matter.
