Sadhana Gupta and Mulayam Singh Yadav love story

News Patiala: Former UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav passed away at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on Monday morning. Mulayam Singh Yadav was admitted here since August 22. On October 2, he was on ventilator due to ill health. About three months ago, his wife Sadhana also died in the same hospital.

Sadhana Gupta was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram due to a lung infection. Until a few days ago, the former defense minister of the country Mulayam Singh Yadav was also admitted there due to ill health.

Mulayam Singh Yadav made Sadhana Gupta his wife on 23 May 2003 after the death of Malti Devi, his first wife and mother of Akhilesh Yadav. Mulayam Singh and Sadhana Gupta came close because of Mulayam Singh’s mother. Mulayam Singh’s mother Murthy Devi used to be ill. After Lucknow, Sadhana took care of him as a nurse when he was treated at Saifai Medical College. Here Mulayam was impressed by Sadhana and the intimacy between the two grew.

The love story of both

Sadhana Gupta belonged to Bidhuna area of ​​Tehsil Auriya. Bidhuna came under Etawah region before Auraiya district was formed. In the year 1980, she joined the Samajwadi Party and became an active worker. Meanwhile, Sadhana’s first marriage took place on 4 July 1986 with Chandraprakash Gupta of Farrukhabad.

Sadhana and Chandraprakash broke up after about a year. Sadhana got divorced in 1990 after leaving her husband. She gave birth to son Prateek on 7 July 1987.

Sadhana was 20 years younger than Mulayam Yadav

During that time, Mulayam Singh Yadav, who was entering the country’s politics, met Sadhana. He was an emerging leader in the country’s politics at that time. At that time Sadhana came into his life. At that time, Sadhana was 20 years younger than Netaji but during that time no one spoke about it .

Mulayam’s mother and his wife Malti also came to know about this relationship. But, Mulayam Singh always kept his love hidden from his family. The family also never allowed Sadhana to enter the house.

Sadhana lived with her son Prateek at a residence in Lucknow. Sadhana herself never entered politics but after her marriage to Aparna wanted her son Prateek to succeed Mulayam in the Samajwadi Party. Many times the market of discussions about this matter was heated but no statement was ever made by Mulayam.

Daughter-in-law contested from BJP

After Akhilesh Yadav took charge of the party, Sadhana’s family has started to distance themselves. Saifai also never came to Sadhana or symbol. Sadhana’s daughter-in-law Aparna expressed her intention to contest from the Samajwadi Party. But being ignored, Aparna joined the BJP during the UP assembly elections.
