Ankita murder case: Three arrested including BJP leader’s son, body found in canal six days later; The girl was being forced to have relations with the clients of the resort
The body of 19-year-old girl Ankita Bhandari, who was working as a receptionist in the Vanantar Resort of Yamakeshwar block in Pauri district of Uttarakhand, was recovered from the Chila Canal here today. This girl went missing from her room in the resort six days ago.

This girl was being forced to have physical relations with the guests of the resort. In this case, the police have arrested three people, including the son of a BJP leader and the owner of the resort. Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar said that this information was obtained from a social media chat with a friend of the girl. Earlier, a friend of the deceased said on Facebook that her friend was killed because of this. At the request of the resort owner, he refused to have physical relations with the guests of the resort. The owner of this resort, Pulkit Arya, is the son of BJP leader Vinod Arya from Haridwar. Vinod Arya is the former chairman of the Uttarakhand Mati Kala Board. The girl’s parents filed a missing report last Monday. The girl’s friend claimed that the resort owner Pulkit and his two other employees have murdered the girl. The DGP said that Pulkit Arya and his manager Saurabh Bhaskar and assistant manager Ankit Gupta were arrested and produced in court. From there they have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. When the police were taking the accused to court, angry people attacked the police car. But, the local authorities have started demolishing the resort. The authority says that the resort is built.
Meanwhile, angry people also set fire to a factory of Pulkit Arya. Police said that the body of the girl has been sent to AIIMS in Rishikesh for post-mortem. Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami has ordered an inquiry into the incident. A special investigation team has been formed under the leadership of DIG P Renuka Devi. Meanwhile, angry locals pelted stones on the car of BJP MLA Renu Bisht from Yamakeshwar. People alleged that the MLA reacted to this incident with delay. In this attack, the glass of the MLA’s car was broken. The police took them away.
The truth came out in the post-mortem, Ankita’s death was due to drowning
The post-mortem of Ankita Bhandari’s body took about five hours at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh morgue on Saturday. The bed has also been preserved for investigation.
After this, the body was handed over to the father. The preliminary report of which has been given to the police administration. In it, the marks of injuries on Ankita’s body before her death have been mentioned. The primary cause of death is said to be suffocation after falling into the water. A detailed report will be available by Monday.
There were injury marks on Ankita’s body
After the body of Ankita Bhandari was recovered from the Chila Power House Barrage on Saturday morning, a large number of eyewitnesses were present when her father Virinder Singh Bhandari was identifying her.

According to the information, Additional Superintendent of Police Shekhar Sawal told the media on Friday that the accused also beat Ankita before killing her.
He had said that the injury marks on his body were from beating or after drowning in the canal, it will be clear only after the post-mortem report.

The post-mortem started at around 11 am, and the post-mortem continued till 4 pm. AIIMS Rishikesh public relations officer Harish Mohan Thapliyal said that the panel of four doctors included two faculty (acharyas) and two resident doctors.
District Magistrate Pauri Dr. Vijay Kumar Jogdande, SSP Pauri Yashwant Singh Chauhan, SP Dehradun Kamlesh Upadhyay, Additional Superintendent of Police Kotdwar Shekhar Sual, Deputy District Officer Yamkeswar Pramod Kumar, and other officers were present till the post-mortem.
Deputy District Magistrate Rishikesh Shailendra Singh Negi said that along with the panel of doctors, a videography team has also been formed. The dead body of Ankita Bhandari was sent from here to Srinagar.
