Former Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot Arrested

News Patiala, June 7, 2022: Vigilance Bureau has arrested former Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot and his two accomplices from Amloh.

Dharamsot is accused of accepting bribes in exchange for cutting down trees. When Capt. Amarinder Singh was the Chief Minister, and Dharamsot was the Forest Minister. However, when the captain was removed, Dharamsot was removed from the ministry. In Punjab, the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently sacked its Health Minister Dr Vijay Singla in a corruption case

News Patiala 7 ਜੂਨ, 2022: ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਨੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਰਮਸੋਤ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਲੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਧਰਮਸੋਤ ‘ਤੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਟਾਈ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਧਰਮਸੋਤ ਜੰਗਲਾਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸਨ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਧਰਮਸੋਤ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ‘ਆਪ’ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਵਿਜੇ ਸਿੰਗਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਭ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਰਖਾਸਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
