The administration of Punjab has revised the domestic water and sewer user charges. As per the notification, above 125 square yards, Rs 50 per month water charges will be imposed while the sewer charges will remain equal as per prevailing rates.
“ Water supply charges have been reduced to Rs 50 per month for all the categories of the plot above 125 square yards,” read the notification issued by the Department of Local Government. It’s to be noted that water force and seamster charges for plots up to 125 square yards will remain the same.

“ It has also been decided that henceforth electricity bills for water supply schemes of urban areas will be paid by the Government to PSPCL directly. In addition, arrears of water supply and sewerage user charges for domestic connections ( including the principal amount, claim, and penalty) accumulated as on date21.10, 2021 are also hereby waived off,” read of order.
