Former journalist Kush Desai has played important responsibilities for the Republican Party during the elections

US President Donald Trump has appointed Indian-American former journalist Kush Desai as his deputy press secretary. This announcement has been made by the White House.
Desai previously served as deputy communications director for the 2024 Republican National Convention and communications director for the Republican Party in the state of Iowa.
Desai was also the deputy battlefield states and Pennsylvania communications director at the Republican National Committee. In this capacity, he played a key role in creating the message and narrative in the battleground states, particularly Pennsylvania, during the election.
Trump won all seven battleground states. The White House has announced this appointment on Friday. The White House Communications Office will be overseen by Deputy White House Chief of Staff and Cabinet Secretary Taylor Budovich.
Trump previously announced the appointments of Assistant to the President and White House Communications Director Steven Cheng and Assistant to the President and Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt. News-Patiala
