Farmers celebrated Lohri by releasing the draft of the Agriculture Market Policy

Kahnuwan (Virinderjit Singh Jagowal): On the invitation of Kisan Morche, copies of the Mandi manuscript were burnt today by various farmers’ unions at different places apart from the local town. Majha Sangharsh Committee led by president Balwinder Singh Raju Aulakh in Sthana town and Kisan Mazdoor Union Punjab led by block president Sukhwant Singh Sathyali burned copies of the Mandi manuscript at Pul Sathyali near here. Apart from this, farmers also protested by burning copies of the manuscript at Harchowal and Bhaini Mian Khan.

Phillaur (Sarbjit Gill): Here, on the invitation of the United Farmers’ Front, various organizations expressed their anger by burning copies of the draft of agriculture marketing. Dinanagar (Sarbjit Sagar): On the occasion of Lohri today, farmers protested against the Modi government by burning copies of the draft of the National Agricultural Marketing Policy. Dhariwal (Sucha Singh Pasnawal): Harcharan Singh, President of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee Punjab Zone Burj Sahib Dhariwal said that the leaders of the units in different villages like Babbri Nangal, Khanmalak under Zone Burj Sahib burned copies of the draft policy regarding new agricultural marketing today on the occasion of Lohri festival. Zone president Harcharan Singh strongly condemned the draft.

Demonstration against the central government by the United Farmers’ Front

Amritsar (News-Patiala News Service): Various organizations affiliated to the United Kisan Morcha staged protests against the central government on Lohri day today and burnt copies of agricultural bills. Apart from Putli Ghar, farmers protested by burning copies of agricultural bills at Attari, Chogaon, Mode and other places.
