Kahnuwan (Virinderjit Singh Jagowal): On the invitation of Kisan Morche, copies of the Mandi manuscript were burnt today by various farmers’ unions at different places apart from the local town. Majha Sangharsh Committee led by president Balwinder Singh Raju Aulakh in Sthana town and Kisan Mazdoor Union Punjab led by block president Sukhwant Singh Sathyali burned copies of the Mandi manuscript at Pul Sathyali near here. Apart from this, farmers also protested by burning copies of the manuscript at Harchowal and Bhaini Mian Khan.
Taran Taran (Gurbakhashpuri): On the occasion of the festival of Lohri, farmers’ organizations associated with the United Kisan Morcha staged a protest against the central government’s new agricultural draft in front of the SDM offices at the tehsil level in the district and burnt copies of the agricultural draft.

Bhogpur (Balwinder Singh Bhangu): Under the leadership of leaders of farmers’ organizations Balwinder Singh Malhi Nangal, Harslindar Singh Dhillon, Gurdeep Singh Chak Jhaddu, Amarjit Singh Chaulang and Ranjit Singh Rana, the farmers in front of Sub Tehsil Bhogpur in Dana Mandi carried copies of the Mandikaran Draft and raised slogans against the government.
Shahkot (Gurmeet Singh Khosla): On the invitation of the United Farmers’ Front, the workers of Bharatiya Kisan Union Kadi, Bharatiya Kisan Union Rajewal, Bharatiya Kisan Union Lakhowal and Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Ugrahan organized a protest rally against the central government and the marketing draft in the tehsil complex here today. On this occasion Swaran Singh and Amjarit Kanungo from Jamhuri Kisan Sabha, Avtar Singh Bobby from Doaba Struggle Committee, Dr. Jatinder Kalra from Bharati Kisan Union Ugrahan, Ashok Mahajan and Sham Singh from Punjab Kisan Sabha, Raghuveer Singh and Dhyan Singh from All India Kisan Sabha. Accused the central government of implementing the new agricultural policy in a crooked manner.
Dasuha (Lord Das Sandal): Here, the local unit of Doaba Kisan Committee Punjab, under the leadership of Senior Vice President Ranjit Singh Bajwa, held a protest in front of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s Office by blowing copies of the Agriculture Marketing Draft. Gurdaspur (Jitendra Bains): According to the decision of the United Kisan Morcha (India), farmers protested against the central government. Today, the farmers of different organizations gathered in Guru Nanak Park and marched in the city by the United Kisan Morcha Tehsil Gurdaspur, burnt the copies of the draft marketing policy issued by the central government in Dakkhana Chowk. The protest march was jointly chaired by Makhan Singh Kuhar, Gurmukh Singh Khaira, Tarlok Singh Bahrampur, Mangat Singh Jeevan Chak, Sukhdev Singh Bhagokawan and Gurdeep Singh Mustafabad.
Dinanagar (Sarbjit Sagar): On the occasion of Lohri today, farmers protested against the Modi government by burning copies of the draft of the National Agricultural Marketing Policy. Meanwhile, the farmers demanded the cancellation of the draft, calling it anti-farmer and condemned the anti-farmer decisions being taken by the Modi government at the Centre.
Pathankot (NP Dhawan): Copies of the draft National Policy on Agricultural Marketing were burnt in front of the DC office on the call of the United Kisan Morcha. Jandiala Guru (Simratpal Singh Bedi): Kisan Sangharsh Committee Punjab Kot Budha protested by burning copies of the agricultural draft brought by the Central Government on the occasion of Lohri today in Chatiwind village of Amritsar district. Ajnala (Sukhdev Sukh): On the invitation of the United Kisan Morcha, state president of Jamuhri Kisan Sabha Satnam Singh Ajnala, senior leader of Kirti Kisan Union Punjab Dhanwant Singh Khatare Kalan, state vice president of Kirti Kisan Union Jatinder Singh Chhina, president of United Welfare Kisan Sanstha Manjit Singh Bath. Led by farmers, copies of the National Agricultural Marketing Policy were blown in the main square of Ajnala.
Dhariwal (Sucha Singh Pasnawal): Harcharan Singh, President of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee Punjab Zone Burj Sahib Dhariwal said that the leaders of the units in different villages like Babbri Nangal, Khanmalak under Zone Burj Sahib burned copies of the draft policy regarding new agricultural marketing today on the occasion of Lohri festival. Zone president Harcharan Singh strongly condemned the draft.
Demonstration against the central government by the United Farmers’ Front
Amritsar (News-Patiala News Service): Various organizations affiliated to the United Kisan Morcha staged protests against the central government on Lohri day today and burnt copies of agricultural bills. The farmers reprimanded the Modi government that BJP leaders will not be allowed to enter the villages if farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal is harmed. Activists of various farmers’ organizations affiliated to the United Kisan Morcha gathered here today at Putli Ghar and they raised slogans against the Modi government by burning copies of farm bills to cancel the re-imposed agriculture law. Apart from Putli Ghar, farmers protested by burning copies of agricultural bills at Attari, Chogaon, Mode and other places.
