Punjab News: Dera Radhaswamy Beas chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon and Takht Sri Damdama Sahib’s Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh had a conversation for more than an hour here on Thursday. This incident which took place at the residence of Jathedar Harpreet Singh on local Barnala Road was so secret that both parties have maintained silence about it.

According to the information, the program of the Dera chief’s visit to the local Dera Radhaswamy located on the Bathinda-Gonyana road was already fixed. Their helicopter landed at the temporary helipad built in Thermal Colony here and from there they went to Jathedar Sahib’s residence by car. It has been learned that Akali leader Surjit Singh Rakhra also reached there on this occasion. Media personnel were kept away from the house due to heavy security arrangements around the house.

It is to be noted that in connection with the controversial comments made by the alleged brother-in-law of Jathedar Harpreet Singh about him, the interim committee of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has suspended his services as Jathedar for 15 days. However, during various stages from summoning the leadership of Shiromani Akali Dal to Sri Akal Takht Sahib to paying salaries, there are many kinds of ‘but-buts’ indirectly about the role of Giani Harpreet Singh. .

There was a time that Giani Harpreet Singh had resigned from his post, but due to the immediate stand taken by the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh in favor of Jathedar Harpreet Singh, the SGPC did not accept the resignation. In the present period, there is also a discussion that their services may be terminated permanently by the Shiromani Committee. The Interim Committee meeting of the committee has also been called on December 30.

On the other hand, Gurinder Singh Dhillon’s closeness with BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal is also not hidden. Apart from the senior leaders of both parties, Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann, Haryana Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee leader Baljit Singh Daduwal’s ‘meetings’ have been a topic of discussion in religious and political circles.

Speculations about today’s meeting being religious, political or personal have once again gained momentum.
