DDCA elections: Rohan Jaitley again became the president of DDCA


New Delhi, December 17

Rohan Jaitley (35) has been elected as the president of the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) for the third consecutive time. He easily defeated former cricketer Keerti Azad. Former Union Minister Arun Jaitley’s son Rohan Jaitley got 1577 votes and Azad got 777 votes. A total of 2413 votes were cast during the election and any candidate needed 1207 votes to win. Earlier Rohan was elected unopposed in 2020 as well. Late Arun Jaitley was the president of DDCA for 14 years. Rohan had the support of former BCCI executive president CK Khanna, who is considered to have a lot of dominance in Delhi cricket. Khanna’s daughter Shikha Kumar (1246 votes) defeated Rakesh Kumar Bansal (536) and Sudhir Kumar Agarwal (498) for the post of vice president. Ashok Sharma (893) was elected as Secretary, Harish Singla (1328) as Treasurer and Amit Grover (1189) as Joint Secretary. -News-Patiala
