The Shiromani Akali Dal opened an election office here today regarding the municipal council elections, which was inaugurated by Constituency Chief Sevadar Paramjit Singh Dhillon. Talking to the media after the inauguration of the election office, Paramjit Dhillon said that of course the election officer has bullied the ruling party by rejecting the nomination papers of many Akali candidates, despite that the spirits of the Akali workers are high and the Akali candidates are in the remaining 5 wards. Paramjit Dhillon said that the people of Machiwara city are remembering the development works done during the Akali government. He said that the late Parkash Singh Badal gave crores of rupees for the sewage of Machiwara city, set up a treatment plant, gave special grants for streets and built parks. He said that the biggest gift to Machiwara city is the Guru Gobind Singh Stadium which was built during the Akali government. He said that the present ‘AAP’ government cannot count a single achievement for the development of the city during its 3-year tenure. Paramjit Dhillon appealed to the people to make the Akali Party candidates win with a huge majority. On this occasion, District Jathedar Jasmail Singh Bondli, Circle Jathedar Kuldeep Singh Jatiwal, Circle Jathedar Hardeep Singh Bahlolpur, Block Committee Member Harjot Singh Mangat, Urban President Jaspal Singh Judge, Tehil Singh Aujla and others were present.
