Harpreet Kaur of Municipal Corporation has initiated efforts to provide water to homes outside Chandigarh villages. The mayor has appealed to the Chandigarh Administration to take immediate action on problems facing the residents of villages and farmers.
The mayor insists on the immediate need of water constituency in 24 villages in Chandigarh because these residents are currently dependent on expensive water tankers. When these people have been given electricity connections, then there should be no problem giving water connections. Ms. Babla insisted that the water is a basic need. He appealed to the UT administration to make a decision in this regard. He said that the necessary modifications would also be made to facilitate the challenge for water connections if needed. Regulate the administration regularly against the structures located outside the red doer and healing the long-lived demand of villages to take immediate action immediately.
