The intermittent rains in Punjab and Haryana since last night have shaken the people. Although the temperature in both the states has been higher than normal, the cold wave has forced people to stay indoors. The meteorological department has warned of heavy rains in Punjab and Haryana for the next three days for which a yellow alert has been issued.

According to the meteorological department, intermittent rains have lashed Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Pathankot, Bathinda, Faridkot, Gurdaspur, Nawanshahr, Barnala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Hoshiarpur, Moga, Muktsar and surrounding areas since last night. Released It also rained during the day in many places today. Bathinda city was the coldest place in the state today with a low of 8.4 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.4 degree Celsius in Amritsar, 10.7 degree Celsius in Ludhiana, 9.4 degree Celsius in Patiala, 9.6 degree Celsius in Pathankot, 10 degree Celsius in Faridkot and 9.4 degree Celsius in Moga. Rains in Haryana have also added to the woes of the people.
