Road accident on the Purvanchal Expressway, 8 people died

New Delhi: A speeding bus hit a bus parked on the side from behind on the Purvanchal Expressway on Monday morning. Both these buses were going from Bihar to Delhi. In the accident, 8 people including a child died on the spot. While the condition of 18 people is being said to be critical. The injured were taken to CHC. Some of them were referred to Lucknow Trauma Center due to their serious condition.

The double-decker bus from Bihar to Delhi stopped at an official Dhaba on the Purvanchal Expressway. Passengers were having breakfast here. But, only passengers were sitting on the bus. Meanwhile, another double-decker bus coming from behind hit him hard. The accident was so terrible that 9 people died on the spot. All the people who died are being told that the bus was coming from behind. On receiving information, ASP Manoj Pandey Loni Katra police reached the spot and started the rescue. The buses were removed with the help of cranes and traffic was restored.

As soon as the news of this accident was received, the people of the surrounding villages also gathered. The villagers also helped in the vehicles to take out the people trapped in the buses and take them to the hospital. ASP Manoj Pandey said that at first glance, the accident appears to be the driver of the bus coming from behind. The bodies are being identified and the injured have been admitted for treatment.
