Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has imposed a heavy fine of 50 lakh Pakistani rupees on the Pakistan cricket team, which was eliminated from the T20 World Cup after a poor performance. This amount is around 12 lakh rupees in Indian currency. While you may have heard of teams getting rewarded for winning, this is a unique and unusual case of each team’s players being penalized after losing. This decision was taken immediately after the defeat against India. According to sources, the officials have clearly told the players that enough pampering has been done. Henceforth, financial benefits will be based on performance only.

The team was informed of this decision immediately after the loss to India. PCB Pays its A-grade players a monthly salary of ₹45 lakh, plus a share of ₹27 lakh from ICC revenue.
