On Monday, reports of violence also emerged from Fukuoka, Japan. A stabbing incident at an entertainment complex in the southern Japanese city of Fukuoka shocked the nation. The complex is known as the theater of popular female pop music group HKT48. A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of two people, Japanese police announced Monday. The condition of the injured is not said to be serious, but the case is being investigated as attempted murder.
How did Japan attack?
According to Fukuoka police, the incident happened on Sunday when the suspect allegedly stabbed a 44-year-old man in the chest with a kitchen knife-like weapon. The victim is said to be an employee of the HKT48 theater. According to Japanese media reports, the attack occurred when the employee spotted the suspect in a part of the complex where he was not allowed to go and told him to leave. Additionally, the suspect stabbed a 27-year-old woman in the back in the lift hall of the same complex and fled the scene. However, the police acted swiftly and arrested him. Police have not yet released a motive for the attack and have declined to officially comment on the second attack.
