Some fail to do so despite many attempts, while some reach these positions at the age of less than 25 years. DM Prateek Jain of Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district is one such officer. Prateek Jain was personally overseeing all the arrangements for the ongoing Yatra to Kedarnath, and now videos of him are surfacing before the doors are closed. Prateek remains in the news for his young age and work. Even before him, there was a DM in this district who was so popular that he was eventually invited by Prime Minister Modi himself.

Prateek Jain was born on July 25, 1993 in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Now, looking at his date of birth, you will understand how young he is. Prateek cleared the UPSC exam in 2018, securing 86th rank in his second attempt. Prateek became an IAS officer at the age of just 25.

The smallest DM of Rudraprayag

Prateek Jain was posted in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district a few months ago, making him the youngest DM there. His ability and enthusiastic behavior at a young age often brought him into the limelight. After the Kedarnath yatra began, Prateek Jain, like any other pilgrim, set out on foot and observed the entire yatra. Meanwhile, his photos went viral.

Mangesh Ghildyal also went viral

Before Prateek Jain, another DM posted in Rudraprayag district also went viral. DM Mangesh Ghildyal is known for his unique and innovative approach to work. Wherever he served as DM, people were filled with joy. That is why people still remember him in their sorrows and pains. Mangesh held public meetings and lived in them like a common man. When the news of his transfer to Rudraprayag came, people would start crying. Even earlier, when he was transferred from any district, people would come out on the streets to protest the transfer.

Passed UPSC exam twice

Mangesh Ghildyal is a 2011 batch IAS officer who secured the fourth rank in the country. He received his primary education in a small village in Pauri district of Uttarakhand, followed by graduation from Dehradun and post graduation from Kumaon University. After researching laser technology, he got a job as a scientist, but always aspired to become an IAS officer. He appeared for the UPSC exam in 2010 without coaching and cleared it in his first attempt. He was then selected for the IPS post, but then took the exam again in 2011 and secured the fourth rank. After this, he decided to work in Uttarakhand.

Direct appointment in PMO

Impressed by Mangesh Ghildyal’s popularity and his work ethic, Prime Minister Modi invited him to his office, the PMO. Since 2020, Mangesh has been posted as Under Secretary in the PMO. Mangesh remains attached to Uttarakhand and helps the people there in every possible way.
