Pakistan Cricket Board will be banned! Pakistan will long to play the match

New Delhi: The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has thanked the International Cricket Council (ICC) for its support following the death of three cricketers in Pakistani airstrikes on Friday evening. It also demanded “stern action” from the ICC.

On Friday, Taliban officials claimed Pakistan violated a 48-hour ceasefire and carried out airstrikes that killed 10 people, including three cricketers. The ACB confirmed the incident and withdrew from the Test series in Pakistan in protest. The ICC and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued separate statements condoling the death of the three cricketers and expressing solidarity with the ACB.

The Afghan board issued another tweet thanking the ICC, but also reminded them that more steps still needed to be taken. ACB wrote on X, “Afghanistan Cricket Board sincerely thanks ICC for issuing statement following ACB’s appeal. This gesture truly reflects ICC’s commitment to fairness, compassion and impartiality, expressing its grief and sympathy over the tragic martyrdom of young domestic cricketers in Afghanistan.”

It further read, “ACB has always followed the principle of keeping sport away from politics and maintains this stance within the ICC framework. The Afghanistan Cricket Board strongly condemns this act of violence.”

After Afghanistan pulled out of the Tri series in November, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) immediately moved to find a replacement. Zimbabwe was announced as the replacement for Afghanistan on Saturday evening. The tournament between Zimbabwe, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will start from November 17 and the final will be held on November 29.
