Justice DY. Full name. Chandra Khurat Justice Dhanni Jashwant Chandra Kunat (DNV. The name of Chandra Kurk is an example in India’s judiciary today. He will be the 50th Chief Justice (CJI) from India to 9 November 2022 to November 10, 2024. Chandrachurad dragged many of his decisions and modern efforts to modernize the judiciary to him, but where did you know where their journey started? How they emerged from a normal family and how did the highest judicial position in the country?
What was the initial life like a Chantrachur?
Justice DY. Chandra Kurur was born on November 11, 1959 in Mumbai. His childhood passes in a very struggle. His father Yashwant Vishnu Chandukar (YV Dunar) were a common lawyer, but later they made his identity of their hardship and ability to become his 16th Chief Justice. His mother Prior Kunthar was a classical musician who had to play a family in difficult situations. Chandra Kurk had told a media interview that his mother took a nearby water tank and his father customers came home at 5 pm. The family of Chandra Kurk lived in the field village of Maharashtra. Where they had three and a half acres of Chandra Kuruhar, but the concern of the economy, their neighborhood entered for the future of their 9 children. This sacrifice laid the foundation of education in the family, whose fruit met Chandra Kurm.
From St. Stephens to Harvard
Chandrachuram studied in the best institutions in the country. He was fulfilled by his schooling his school and Zon Conon School, Mumbai and Saint Columba School, Delhi. After that, he had received the Economics and Maths in Delhi’s St. Stephen College in Delhi. To study the law, he went to the Delhi University’s Campus Law Center, where he received LLB degree in 1982. His talent received her inelx scholarships, through which he went to Harvard Law School. There he completed his LLM in 1986 and the Doctorate in Generic Science (SJD).
From the lawyer to Justice & MLDR;
After completing his studies, Chandra Kuruhar in the Maharashtra Bar Council and began practicing the law in the Bombay High Court and the Supreme Court. He also practiced in Gujarat, Calcutta, Allahabad, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi’s High Courts. Their hard work and legal understanding made him a senior a lawyer of Bombay High Court in 1998. That same year, he was made Additional Salicator General of India. They stayed at the post by the year 2000.
Chandrachura also taught the Mumbai University and Visiting Professor in the Oklahoma University School of Law in the United States. He was first appointed as a judge in Bombay High Court in the year 2000, where he served 13 years. In 2013, he became the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court. In 2016, he was promoted as a judge of the Supreme Court. In 2022, he became the 50th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court on November 9. Their term stayed on November 10, 2024.
The father made both CJI.
It was not a coincidence of Chandrachru’s CJI. His father Yashwant Chandhat Chandhat was the 16th CJI in India till 1978. They stayed the serving chief justice for the longest serving. This is the only pair of the father and son who has been in the post of CJI. Both played this responsibility for 9 years. Chandrachurad also reversed his father’s controversial decisions.
