The annual Safar-e Shahadat event of the historic Gurdwara Sri Parivar Vichhora Sahib, located on the banks of the Sirsa River in Sarsa Nangal village of Rupnagar district, began late last night. The event started with the singing of words by the kirtani team of Hazuri Ragi Bhai Pinder Singh of Gurdwara Sri Parivar Vichhora Sahib. The chief organizer of the event, Sant Avtar Singh Tibbi Sahib, said that after performing the kirtan of Sri Asaji’s war, three marches on foot and on horseback will leave tomorrow at 6 o’clock in the morning. These Gurdwaras will start from Sri Parivar Vichhora Sahib and pass through Majri Gujran village to Kot Bala village. After reaching Kot Bala village, the equestrian march decorated in memory of the great Sahibzades and Guru Gobind Singh will reach Malikpur and Kotla Nihang via the Bhakra canal track, after crossing the Sirsa river, passing through the thermal plant. After that, going through Gandhon, Rajemajra, Brahman Majra, Bur Majra, Dugri, Kotli, Dahar, Mundians, Sallomajra will reach Sri Chamkaur Sahib. Similarly, a foot march in memory of Mata Sahib Kaur and Mata Sundar Kaur, which will include only women, will cross the Sirsa river from Kot Bala and go along the micro hydel canal of the thermal plant. After crossing Ranjitpura bridge, it will reach Rupnagar passing through Daburji, Gunnomajra, Laudimajra, Alampur Katli. The third march is to be taken out in memory of Mata Gujjar Kaur ji and the younger Sahibzades, which will pass from Kot Bala via Aaspur village, cross the Sirsa river and reach Ranjitpura Fanda and then Kumman Mashki. For Safar-e Shahadat Marg, the same old and bumpy roads have been chosen, through which the Guru traveled.
Martyrdom ceremony started at Gurdwara Jotgarh Sahib

Martyrdom events are being celebrated at Gurdwara Sri Jotgarh Sahib Sallomajra Majra Road (Chamkaur Sahib) from 20 to 28 December. Senior Akali leader Karnail Singh Pir Muhammad said that during the martyrdom ceremony, Saint Mahapurush will entertain the people with Katha Kirtan and Gurmat thoughts. On December 28, Nagar Kirtan will be organized from village Sallomajra at 11 am under the leadership of Panj Pyaras, which will end at Fatehgarh Sahib while paying obeisance to the historical shrines of Chamkaur Sahib.
