Patiala, Punjab, October 9, 2023: Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni held an important meeting with the officials of the health department regarding the ongoing and newly started Aam Aadmi clinics in the district at the district administrative complex.
During the meeting, Sahni reviewed the progress of 7 new Aam Aadmi clinics to be opened in the district and directed the officials to expedite the work so that the clinics can be dedicated to the people soon.
Sahni informed that 58 Aam Aadmi clinics are already functioning in Patiala district and with the opening of 7 new clinics, the total number of clinics in the district will increase to 65.
The Deputy Commissioner said that among the 7 newly opened Aam Aadmi clinics, the clinics to be opened at Nalas, Dakala, Ghagga at Bhai K Kakrala, Devigarh, Hira Bagh, and Ishwar Nagar (Ward No. 12 MC Sanur) are in the final stages of completion and will be dedicated to the people of Patiala in the coming days.
Sahni said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh have given special directions to ensure that the Aam Aadmi clinics are located close to people’s homes so that they can easily access healthcare facilities.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Anupreeta Johal, Civil Surgeon Dr. Raminder Kaur, and other officers were present at the meeting.
