Woman arrested with opium

Police of Thana Sadar Samana has arrested a woman with a kilo of opium. DSP Rajpura Surinder Mohan and SHO Sadar Jaspreet Singh told about it.
Assistant police officer Roshan Kumar along with the police party had blockaded the Rajpura-Sirhind GT road near AGM Resort Basantpura. Meanwhile, when a suspected woman Nazma’s bag was searched during the checking of a bus, one kg of opium was recovered from her. The police have registered a case against the accused woman and arrested her.
DSP Surinder Mohan told that the Sadar police had arrested two bus passengers Nirbhai Singh and Jobanpreet Singh with 260 grams of heroin two days ago. Those three accused are in police remand.
Threw away the envelope containing the drug pills and ran away
In the same way, ASI Gurbachan Singh of Sadar Police had set up a block near village Bijalpur. Meanwhile, a woman walking from the village saw the police post and ran away after dropping the envelope she was holding. On checking the envelope, 240 drug pills were recovered from it.
The accused was identified as Ajmero’s wife Mirza Singh resident of village Bijalpur. A case has been registered against him under the provisions of the Anti-Drug Act and he is being searched for.
400 liters were raided at five different places, and 134 bottles were recovered
The police of Sadar police station conducted raids at five different places in village Marori and recovered one and a half kilos of poppy, 400 liters of lahan, and 134 bottles of illegal liquor. Two people have been arrested on the spot along with an active furnace. During this operation, three people including two women escaped. The police have registered a case against the accused under the sections of the Excise Act and the Anti-Drug Act and started further action.
DSP Sourav Jindal said that a search operation was conducted by Sadar Police Chief Mehma Singh in the village of Marodi in the Samana area. Meanwhile, 100 liters of Lahan from village Marori, 100 liters of Lahan from Janki, one kg five hundred grams of poppy, and 94 bottles of illegal liquor have been recovered from Gudo Kaur. The police have registered a case against them under the provisions of the Anti-Drug Act. He said that three people escaped during this time.
An operational furnace, 40 bottles of illicit liquor, and 200 liters of liquor were recovered from Seona Ram. He was arrested on the spot. Mehma Singh said that the accused are addicted to liquor smuggling. Despite warnings from the police, they are not leaving this business.
