                        Attempts are being made to reach out to every voter and cast their vote in the Punjab Assembly elections. In an innovative initiative under this series, 5 Voter Helpline WhatsApp numbers were released. These numbers were released on Monday by District Election Officer cum DC Sandeep Hans for the convenience of disabled voters.

ADC G Gurpreet Singh Thind, Assistant Commissioner Kiran Sharma, District Nodal Officer Prof. Gurbakhsh Singh Antal, District Social Security Officer Virinder Singh Tiwana are also present. DC Sandeep Hans said that the voters who are unable to speak through the above numbers can make an inquiry about their election. They will be able to communicate in sign language via video calls. He said that there are interpreters who are proficient in sign language to operate the above numbers.

 WhatsApp can make video calls to these numbers. Prof. Gurbakhshish Singh Antal also released a coffee table book on sweep activities.
