Patiala News, January 28, 2022 –
Today BLO Mini Secretariat gathered at Patiala and protested. They protested against the letter of vaccination issued by the Patiala administration and other urgent demands. They sat in front of the DC office Patiala and chanted slogans about their demands.
Tehsildar reached the spot to collect the demand form. Informed the Tehsildar of all the demands. He assured to hold a meeting with ADC General Gurpreet Singh Thind as DC was not present on the occasion. Hundreds of BLOs gathered and elected some District Committee office-bearers.
Jaspreet Singh was made the district president. Inderjit Singh has been appointed General Secretary and Jagpreet Singh has been appointed. After this active members of the elected district committee Avtar Singh Mann Didar Singh Patiala, Kuldeep Singh Bhikhi, Varinder Singh Sanaur, Joga Singh Ghanour, etc. spoke to ADC Gurpreet Singh Thind. They discussed the demands for increasing the honorarium, imposing a duty on one of the couples. Relieving the BLO of the remaining constituency from the patriarchal department, providing tab and net facility to work.
He agreed to some of the demands and assured me that the demands would be resolved soon. Let it be known that their duties have been imposed in the election but these kinds of facilities have not been provided. He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture.
